Does this tool know anything about my personal risk?
No. The tool only uses your gestational week to map into a fixed distribution. It does not know your history, scan findings, or any clinical risk factors.
Why does the chart only show weeks 37 to 42?
The tool focuses on the typical **term window**. If you enter a week below 37, it still shows you the term window but uses week 37 as your reference week. If you enter a week above 42, it uses week 42.
Can this tell me the exact day my baby will come?
No. It cannot predict the exact day. It only provides a rough sense of which weeks carry more weight in a simple model of term births.
Is this based on real data?
The pattern is inspired by common timing charts for spontaneous term births but is implemented as a **fixed, simplified distribution** for education and planning. It is not a live clinical dataset.
Should I change my hospital plans if the chance looks low this week?
No. Always follow your care provider’s guidance. If they ask you to come in for monitoring or induction, do that even if the tool shows a low chance this week.
